With your help, Anna K Intown has selected the 2025 Home Revamp Recipient!

Why Katie? Katie Thames is a devoted middle school math teacher at St. Thomas More Catholic School in Decatur, where she inspires and motivates her students every day. Despite navigating deep personal loss—including the passing of her mother and a divorce—Katie has remained incredibly resilient, focusing on creating the best possible life for her daughter, Heidi, a preschooler at STM.

As a single mom, Katie juggles the demands of teaching with raising her daughter, all while shouldering the emotional and mental strain of the past few years. With so much on her plate, maintaining organization at home has been a challenge, yet she recognizes how important structure and simplicity could be, not only for her peace of mind, but for Heidi’s well-being and development.

Katie dreams of a more organized, clutter-free home that provides calm and consistency—a space where both she and her daughter can thrive. Her strength, perseverance, and deep love for her family make her a beautiful example of grace in the face of adversity. We believe this Home Revamp could be a powerful step toward the fresh start she so deeply deserves.

What is Home Revamp?

Check out last year’s transformation…

In 2024, we selected Tracie Justus to be our Home Revamp recipient! Why Tracie? Tracie is an English Professor at Georgia State University, where she inspires her students with a passion for literature and writing. Despite facing personal challenges including the loss of her husband to a fierce battle with cancer last year, Tracie remains resilient and determined to provide the best life for her son, Trey, a 5th grader. As a single mom, Tracie works tirelessly to raise her son, balancing her career with the demands of parenthood. The financial strain of being the sole provider has made it difficult for her to make ends meet, particularly when it comes to covering tuition payments and household expenses. Tracie is actively involved in her son's school community as Secretary for the PTO, as she believes strongly in the importance of education and community involvement, making a positive impact wherever she can. Tracie dreams of making a room for herself where she can create content for the classes she teaches online, as well as creating a designated guest bedroom for the many friends and family that they have in their lives. Through her perseverance, resilience, and dedication to her family and community, Tracie exemplifies strength in the face of adversity. She is a role model to her son and is loved by everyone she meets.
