Candler Park

Leafy and well loved, Candler Park is home to the quiet meanderings of Freedom Park and the Candler Park Golf Course, as well as the edgy kitsch of Little Five Points, with its psychedelic and skull-clad store fronts.

The 55-acre park that defines the neighborhood is named after Coca-Cola magnate Asa Griggs Candler. The land he donated once served as ground zero in the Battle of Atlanta, known at the time as “Union Square.”

Surrounding the park you’ll find a charming network of streets boasting Queen Annes and Craftsman bungalows, local sandwich shops and grocery stores, and top-rated Mary Lin Elementary. Family-friendly and artistically inclined, Candler Park is known for its outdoor festivals, community movie nights, run clubs and indie theaters.
