Midtown Atlanta

If you were dropped in by parachute, you might be forgiven for thinking that Midtown was some undiscovered part of NYC. But this is ATL at its most cinematic—canyons of buildings, sprawling beds of technicolor tulips, sidewalks bustling with well-heeled office workers.

Peachtree Street is the lifeblood of the neighborhood. The fantastically designed Fabulous Fox Theater anchors one end, while stunning vistas of Piedmont Park unfold along the other. A gateway for art, culture and business, Midtown is home to some of Atlanta’s most famous landmarks—The High Museum, The Atlanta Botanical Gardens, the Margaret Mitchell House, the Rainbow Crosswalk. Not to mention some of the city’s best restaurants.

Venture away from the Marta stations and towering glass-and-steel condos of Peachtree and you’ll find a quaint network of streets filled with columned, Neoclassical mansions and Italianate villas, as well as humbler cottages and shotgun homes.

Whatever you’re into, there’s always something to do in Midtown. Catch a symphony at the Woodruff Arts Center or stroll the Dogwood Festival in Piedmont Park. You just might decide to stay forever.
