Lake Claire

We love Lake Claire. Just ask Anna K., who calls this wooded wonderland home. Why? It’s tranquil, historic and family friendly. A stone’s throw from the Fernbank Museum, the winding trails of Druid Hills and the cultural kick of Decatur and Kirkwood, Lake Claire is a residential paradise filled with turn-of-the-century Craftsman bungalows, gardens and green spaces.

If you’re ever invited to “Ski Lake Claire,” go for it! Just know you’re in on a neighborhood joke—there’s no actual lake to speak of. (Lake Ponceanna dried up decades ago.) But it sure sounds pretty, just like the neighborhood it inspired.

You’re welcome to wander the verdant beauty of the Frazer Center, browse the wine selection at Candler Park Market, or dig into some delicious BBQ at Fox Brothers. In this close-knit community, you won’t stay a stranger for long. It’s only a matter of time before someone invites you to their backyard for some sweet tea (or something a tad stronger).
