Morningside

A little bit intown, a little bit Buckhead, Morningside picks up where Midtown leaves off, right at the northern edge of Piedmont Park. Residents of this sunny enclave get the best of both worlds—spacious homes with wide-open lawns and close proximity to everything urban Atlanta has to offer.

The neighborhood’s famous Ansley Mall was once the site of a farming community known as Easton, and a steam train that ran all the way up to mountainous Toccoa, GA. These days, Morningside is full of walkable streets lined with stately Tudors and latticed porches. But you can really stretch your legs at the Morningside Nature Preserve and along Peachtree Creek, which runs right through the neighborhood.

Contrary to its name, Morningside isn’t just for the early birds who flock to Alon’s Bakery and the Saturday morning farmers market. Can’t-miss nightlife includes Grindhouse Killer Burgers, Orpheus Brewing, Little Rey, Grana and live blues at Fat Matt’s Rib Shack.
